About Us

My name is Susan Anstine.  I am a Kansas wife and mother and grandmother.   I earned a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Emporia State University. I have run a licensed Home Day Care for 3 decades and am looking forward to retiring and spending all of my time creating  things for my friends and family.   One of the most fun things that I do is sitting down in my studio with a friend and creating a custom  piece that they help to design and then create.  Buttons are really very fun to make and their eyes always sparkle when they make one themselves.  I’ve even taught my toddlers and preschoolers to make buttons.  They love my items and have told me for years that I should start a business to sell my creations.  I make photo buttons and can use them to make many things, such as pins, buttons, keychains, magnets, shoelace buttons, hair ties, bookmarks and even jewelry.  I also love designing and making things with beads.    I make keychains, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, plant stakes, magic wands and pens. I also enjoy painting, especially whimsical watercolor birds and sewing.  I have made over 35 quilts and clothing and bags of all kinds.  I am getting into resin,  love woodworking and using laser and CNC machines.
